I’m a Fashion Blogger Now + Giveaway

I’ll be back to “baby” stuff on Monday, but until then enjoy a good laugh at my expense (and enter the giveaway at the end!)

Ehakti 1

I’m a fashion blogger now…

Ok, if you know me personally, you’re probably laughing your head off, because I’m SO far from a fashion blogger.  My day-to-day attire consists of yoga pants and nursing friendly shirts.  In fact, when I put a pair of jeans on my son immediately says “Where mommy going?”

So imagine my surprise when Eshakti contacted me to review an item of clothing from their website.  It’s like they knew my wardrobe was in dire need of sprucing up.  Never one to pass up an opportunity for self improvement (or maybe just cute clothes), I agreed.  And how could I not after browsing their website?  I let some much needed chore-time pass me by looking at their website, but you guyssss…their stuff is beautiful!

Just check out their new arrivals page….wouldn’t this be perfect for Valentine’s day?  Or maybe this for a little spring garden party? (Because who doesn’t love a good garden party)

And the coolest part of Eshakti is that they let you customize the fit of your clothes…like your very own personal seamstress, but without the hassle of leaving your house!

EshaktiYou can do this in two ways:

1) Submit your exact measurements (which is awesome right after you have a baby and have no idea what size you actually are)

2) Request specific style alterations.  This is my favorite option, because basically, you get to play designer! Sleeve length, neckline, skirt length…you decide!

I really wanted to get one of their adorable dresses, but then the practical side of me took over…I have a toddler and an infant and it’s the middle of winter.  What the heck would I need a dress for?  I’m too impatient to wait until spring and my wardrobe needed a cuteness upgrade STAT.

Lucky for me I found the preeeeetiest coat that I just about fell in love with.

And it’s perfect if you live in the South (milder winters) or if you’re looking for a lighter Spring jacket.  I chose to customize it through option #2 (altering the style…I specified the length)  and it such an easy and convenient process.  A few clicks and voila! I must say, though, that I almost wish I had gone with option 1.  I overestimated the size of my post-partum body and the coat was a little bigger than I would normally wear.  With option 1, I could have had perfect sizing.  Thankfully, the sash goes a long way in making it fit right!

Ok, now on to the comedic part of my post — my attempts at being a fashion blogger.

“That’s right…I’m a playground mom AND a fashionista”

Eshakti 2

“Oh, don’t mind me…I’m going for a pensive stroll while you admire the back of my beautiful coat.”

Eshakti 3

“This is how fashion bloggers pose, right?”Eshakti 6

But seriously y’all, this coat is GAWGEOUS…as is just about everything else on their site.  And lucky for you, I’m giving away two $25 gift cards to Eshakti!  Make sure you register on their website so you can get another $25 coupon.  That’s 50 big buckaroos to spend as you please!!

Disclaimer:  I was offered a free item in exchange for a review.  All opinions are my own.

What a pretty coat! I recently moved to the south and have realized I need a bigger coat selection — my giant puffy coat isn’t really necessary!

Yes! I actually left my big puffy coat back in the midwest because all it did was take up closet space. And people kept making “bear” comments to me πŸ™‚
